Professional Statement

My name is Cynthia Sedillo-Artiaga and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) that provides individual, couples and family therapy. I graduated from Argosy University with Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014.I have spent my time as a therapist providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to gain perspective on their lives, strengthen relationships with others and advocate for themselves. I have worked with a diverse population providing individual, couples and family therapy in different settings. I have clinical experience across variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs and non-profits. My areas of clinical expertise focus on relationship and life-stage difficulties, including, but not limited to: attachment, peer relationships, relationship discords, family conflict, parenting, self-esteem, coping skills and stress, depression, trauma, self-harm, anxiety, adhd. I strongly believe that our thoughts directly impact our mood and actions, but understand that trauma and adverse experiences of childhood have an impact beyond the cognitive. Together we can work to find the best therapeutic approach to reach a better understanding of yourself that can lead to an improved quality of life and confidence to be perfectly imperfect.
